Menghai Tea Factory was founded in 1940 and was originally named “Fohai Experimental Tea Factory of China Tea Trading Co., Ltd.” and was founded by Mr. Fan Hejun. It is China’s first truly modern mechanical tea factory. At the beginning of its establishment, it cooperated with 26 local private tea houses to process Pu’er tea. In terms of historical changes, Menghai Tea Factory has undergone many name changes and was officially named “Menghai Tea Factory” in 1982. It was restructured into a private enterprise in 2004 and is currently the core enterprise of Dayi Tea Group.
Menghai Tea Factory is famous for its “Dayi” brand Pu’er tea. It has produced many classic products, such as the “classic old five”: 7542, 7572, 8582, 8592, 7262.
