Zhou Cai Ying was born in Dingshu Town in 1982.  Raised in a rich ceramic art atmosphere since she was a child. In addition. her interest in ceramic art continued to increase after she grew up. In 2002, she entered the Zisha Craft Factory and engaged in making Zisha teapots. Later, under the guidance of the master craftsman Wang Qi Ming, she developed solid foundation skills.  

After that, she was taught by Senior Arts and Crafts Artist Wang Lin Xian Hua. 

Her works have won many awards at local and foreign exhibitions. 

This teapot is fully-handmade, inside the pot you can check it by some tooling marks and also it has the characters 手工制 (made by hand) and to the left 朱泥大 Zhu Ni Da. 

 The craftsmanship is excellent, and the price of this teapot was much higher, but the maker is a perfectionist. So the maker offered a lower price because of the imperfect lid seal and also because the handle is not fully straight. However, you’ll hardly notice the handle alignment, the lid fit is as tight as you can get, but there is a slight dripping when pouring and if you cover the hole at the top of the knob the water doesn’t completely stop (for what it matters). 

The pouring is quite fast, 11 seconds, at the beginning is not so smooth but after a few seconds, the water flow is perfect.

I have tried this teapot with Yancha, other roasted Oolongs and young Sheng Puer with good results. This is high-quality modern clay and won’t disappoint you for sure. 

It comes with two teacups, (the clay quality of the teacups is not the same ) some small pieces of the raw ore used to make the clay of this teapot (see pic.1) and a booklet with some of her works and a certificate of authenticity.

Note: The weight of this product is heavier than other teapots because it comes in a bigger box, and has a booklet and two teacups.
