(Lincang Yesheng Gushu Hongcha)
The origin of this unique tea comes from a mountain at a high altitude and the area has many wild ancient tea trees (between 100-200 years old) and a long history of tea cultivation by Yunnan minority groups.
When I brewed this one I used 4.5g in an 80ml Gaiwan and did 13 infusions.
The tea has an intense flavour in the mouth with some herbal, honey and wildflowers notes. My girlfriend felt some Patchouli notes in it. She said it reminds her of some Chinese medicine because some of them seem to have Patchouli.
The mouthfeel is thick and creamy. The tea gives a delicious mouthwatering soup, honey-like sweet and which remains in the mouth and throat for a long time.
This tea has a strong and obvious cha qi, warming, relaxing and at the same time slightly stimulating.
This tea is definitely worth the experience. We offer 25 samples, I can’t recommend this one enough. Even if you are an experienced tea drinker, this tea will surpass your expectations!
